Electronic Music Production & Synthesiser Workshops in Dublin

All sound is electric. Your ears convert air pressure waves to neuroelectrical signals, and those are flashed through your synapses and intermixed with the charges of your innermost thoughts. Electronic sound is the basis for our aural experience of the world. But it's also perceived as technical, or as opposed to the more "natural" sounds of acoustic instruments, or as something expensive or challenging to engage with. Thanks to the generous support of First Music Contact and the National Concert Hall in Dublin, we have an opportunity to change that.

Pilot Program: Creativity with Electronic Sound

At Prior Art Soundworks, we want to make hands-on electronic music education, hardware synth exploration, and audio production accessible to musicians and beginners across Ireland. This autumn, we're piloting Creativity with Electronic Sound, a 3-week foundational program designed to make the history, appreciation and practice of electronic music more accessible. You'll learn about classic works of electronic music, get hands-on with the iconic instruments used to create them, and produce your own music in a series of immersive workshops.
